Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This privacy policy is issued by Himanshu Rana, an independent growth marketer and software developer operating ranahimanshu.com ("this site"). For any privacy question or request, contact me@ranahimanshu.com.

2. Scope

This policy applies to ranahimanshu.com as a whole, including anyone who simply visits or emails through the site, and to the internal tools Himanshu Rana operates for his own business, including the "Google Ads Dashboard" tool described in Section 4.

3. Information we collect from site visitors

ranahimanshu.com is a static site. It does not run visitor accounts, forms, or a comments system. The only information collected is:

• Information you send directly — if you email me@ranahimanshu.com, we receive whatever you include (name, email address, and message content).
• Basic hosting logs — the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which, like virtually all web hosts, automatically logs standard technical data (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) for security and reliability purposes. This is not linked to an identity and is not used for tracking or marketing.

No cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising trackers run on this site — see Section 8.

4. The Google Ads Dashboard tool and the Google Ads API

Separately from the public site, Himanshu Rana operates an internal tool called the "Google Ads Dashboard," used only by himself and his team to manage Google Ads accounts for contracted clients. It authenticates with Google via OAuth using the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords scope, and only accesses accounts that sit under Himanshu Rana's own Google Ads Manager (MCC) account, for clients under an active service agreement. No accounts outside this MCC are ever accessed, and this tool has no external users.

Read access:

• Campaign, ad group, keyword, and search-term performance data (impressions, clicks, cost, conversions)
• Campaign, budget, and geo-targeting configuration
• Conversion actions

Write access (always initiated manually by a human operator — never automatic):

• Enabling or pausing ad groups and keywords after manual review
• Updating final URLs
• Syncing a client's website lead-form conversions to an existing Google Ads conversion action

5. How this information is used

Emails sent to us are used only to respond to your inquiry. Hosting logs are used only for site security and reliability. Data accessed through the Google Ads API is used solely to power the internal reporting and account-management dashboard described above — never to advertise to end users, never analyzed for any purpose beyond managing the connected client accounts, and never resold or shared.

6. How this information is stored and protected

OAuth refresh tokens, the Google Ads developer token, and OAuth client credentials are stored server-side only, as environment variables on the machine running the dashboard. They are never exposed to a browser or to any client-side code, and no third-party analytics service or data processor receives this data. Access tokens used to call the Google Ads API are short-lived and generated on demand from the stored refresh token. Emails you send us are kept in a private inbox and are not shared.

7. Data sharing

Nothing described in this policy — site visitor data, email contents, or data obtained through the Google Ads API — is ever sold, rented, or shared with any third party, and is never used for any purpose beyond operating this site and the internal dashboard.

8. Cookies and tracking

ranahimanshu.com does not use cookies, third-party analytics, or advertising trackers of any kind.

9. Data retention and deletion

Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry. Google Ads data is cached only as needed to render reporting views and is not retained beyond that operational need. To request deletion of any data we hold about you, contact me@ranahimanshu.com.

10. Your rights and choices

You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you and request its correction or deletion by emailing me@ranahimanshu.com. If your Google Ads account data is accessed through the Google Ads Dashboard tool, you can revoke that access at any time from Google Account → Security → Third-party access.

11. Children's privacy

This site and the tools described here are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
